Vitácea Hijuelas was born from the joint venture between Grupo Vitácea Brasil, a national leader in the production of cloned grapevine plants, and Grupo Hijuelas, a Chilean conglomerate with more than six decades of experience and a presence in countries such as Peru, Mexico, Colombia, the United States, France and African nations.

The new company's focus is the development of nurseries in Minas Gerais and Petrolina to supply the Brazilian market with fruit plants. The initial priority is berries and stone fruit, with internationally validated elite varieties adapted to the country's climatic conditions, produced through innovative micropropagation protocols with rigorous phytosanitary and genetic quality control.

By bringing together multidisciplinary teams and an established network of partnerships with national and international breeders, Vitácea Hijuelas aims to become an agricultural development platform with global reach, fostering joint research projects, varietal development and technology transfer for more efficient and competitive fruit growing in Brazil and Latin America.
